Huskers Finish Off Perfect Non-Conference With Sweep of Arizona
LINCOLN, Neb. - The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team finished off a perfect non-conference slate with a 25-19, 25-23, 25-18 sweep of Arizona in front of 8,625 at John Cook Arena at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Saturday night.
The Huskers improved to 10-0 to go undefeated in non-conference play for the third time since joining the Big Ten in 2011. Arizona fell to 6-4.
Harper Murray finished with 14 kills on .333 hitting, and Virginia Adriano added nine kills on .438 hitting. Andi Jackson also recorded nine kills and hit .389. Taylor Landfair and Rebekah Allick had eight and seven kills, respectively. Allick hit .538 and added two blocks.
Bergen Reilly had 40 assists, six digs and five kills. Olivia Mauch led all players with 11 digs, and Laney Choboy had seven.
As a team NU hit .392, its second-best offensive outing of the season. Arizona hit .250. Jordan Wilson had a match-high 17 kills for the Wildcats.
