Retired General Stanley McChrystal discussed his new book on leadership and character as part of Vanderbilt University's "Lecture Series on Modern Conflict and Emerging Threats." General McChrystal spoke about the lessons he has learned throughout his time in the military, and also in his private life as a public speaker, businessman and husband. When asked what one lesson he wished to impart to students, General McChrystal emphasized that they "have to have a view... we can't be neutral on character, we have to decide what good character is and not define it narrowly."
