A "Miscellaneous Benefit" (10 USC Chapter 53) owed voluntary enlistees and all others subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice is "Legal Service" This link to the U.S. NAVY is a FORM to use to request Legal Services https://www.jag.navy.mil/legal_services/documents/LA_Client_Intake_Questionnaire.pdf "Legal Services" is not branch specific and even though all branches have their own offices the law specifically states that the office can supply legal services to all uniform service members, dependents etc.. 'Deceptive acts and practices' is a category of issue requiring legal service and could include being asked to pay a mortgage, property tax, income tax, court cost etc.. but the entity refusing to provide an executed IRS FORM W-9 certifying the entity is who they claim to be.
