ENLISTED ACCESSION & the MILITARY HUMAN RESOURCE RECORDS

According to regulation, records kept by National Archives in the Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) are not the authoritative source for the authentication of veteran or service related benefits, entitlements and services. Instead, the authoritative records are part of the AMHRR ( __MHRR of similar for other services) which is a system of records archived in "iPERMS" . and the regulation states that access via iPERMS is immediate upon 'accession' into the Army. 1–7. Army Military Human Resource Record purpose, AR 600-8-104) https://armypubs.army.mil/epubs/DR_pubs/DR_a/ARN30770-AR_600-8-104-000-WEB-1.pdf When I checked iPERMS for my records, I was told that there are no records of my service in my AMHRR; apparently insinuating that I never 'accessended' to active duty... In other words.. there is an error in the records keeping me from viewing the records I need to review related to benefits, entitlements, and services. (I do not believe that trying to fix your OMPF will fix this problem) Could this be 'intentional' to keep Soldiers-for- Life (and other branches of service equivalents) from receiving their retirement pay at the age of 60? (Of course it could be the reason) Every Branch has its own version of Military Human Resource Records and here are few links I found that maybe of use.
