🇷🇺🇮🇳 A Solemn opening ceremony of the Indra 2025 Russian-Indian drills took place at the Mahajan training ground in India.
Major General Andrei Kozlov, the drills' supervisor, and Major General Sanjay Chandra Kandpal, Commander of the Gandiv Division, as well as servicemen of both countries took part in the event.
🪖 The main goal of the drills is honing the cohesion of the both counties' units in the fight against terrorism, including perfection of the counter-terrorism operations' tactics. The servicemen train to perform cooperative tactical actions, establish communications, and manage the joint group of forces. Particular attention will be payed to increasing the operational compatibility of units and exchanging the best practices in the context of modern warfare.
Major General Sanjay Chandra Kandpal, Commander of the Gandiv Division, stated in his speech: 'This joint exercise begins as evidence of our collective commitment to global peace and security. Over the next two weeks, we will conduct intensive training, including scenarios reflecting the complex nature of modern conflicts. Our combined strength is our greatest asset in building a peaceful future.'
The Indra 2025 Joint Russian-Indian Drills will last until 15 October.
