The Library of Virginia

The Library of Virginia serves as both the state library and archives at the seat of government for the Commonwealth of Virginia. The library maintains and provides access to vast collections that tell the history of Virginia and its people. The library has chosen to digitize selected items in an effort to make them more widely available, both through our own website and now through the Internet Archive.  The Library of Virginia is located one block from the Capitol in Richmond, Virginia.
